Justin Mendon

About Me

My name is Justin Mendon, nice to meet you! I attended the University of York and completed a BEng in Computer Science. It was an awesome time and experience where I learned a lot of the fundamental skills to be successful within tech, both the technical and people skills. Sport is a massive part of my life and I founded and captained a College Cricket Club, played University Cricket and captained College Badminton!

Near the end of my degree, I was exposed to Microsoft Azure via the opportunity to take AZ-900 and I was interested in pursuing it. After graduating, I got a job working at Qualyfi who focus on upskilling and developing talent within Microsoft Azure.

I completed the “Qualyfi Accelerator—Infrastructure and DevOps” track. I learned the key knowledge and skills needed to be a successful Azure consultant. I was able to complete AZ-900, AZ-104 and AZ-305 and gained an understanding of Azure Bicep and Azure DevOps. See the below video for my experience with Qualyfi!

Since completing the Accelerator, I have been working at Nasstar as an Azure Technical Architect. The Azure Practice was brand new when I joined, so I helped build the foundations, and now I am involved in creating Azure infrastructure design and deployments. This involves using Azure Bicep and Azure DevOps Pipelines.

We perform migration and modernization projects within Azure, with modernizations being my favorite, as it allows customers to really reap the benefits of the cloud and what Azure can provide.
